I am with you…I can never do a low carb diet. I think my diet is probably like 65-70% carbohydrate! But since I am an endurance runner I NEED them!

Thanks Kelly! I’m glad I’m not the only one. I was feeling frustrated with the whole thing! I’m still doing my normal running routine even though I’m also training for the bike ride. I NEED carbs to do that!

That’s MY favorite wine too! Chateau Ste Michelle has such great wines but the Riesling is for sure the best!
I have done the low carb thing and have surprisingly found many many things in place….but there’s nothing like carbs!

Their Dry Riesling is also wonderful!

Does protein powder in your oats keep you fuller longer? I have never tried it, but it seems like a smart idea.

The combo of more protein and fiber does make me fuller. I also like the flavor.

Totally with you. I tried to do no carbs and no sugar for about 3 weeks. Ended up 3 days in about ready to throttle my husband and realized it probably wasn’t a good idea. Good luck this weekend, can’t wait to read about it!

I’ve heard that about low-carb diets.

Check back on Sunday for Reach the Beach recaps! If I make it, I’ll be posting up a storm. šŸ™‚

Riesling is so yummy. It’s one of my favorite non-dessert wines. I guess I like sweet wine.

I’m not counting my carbs to any degree, but I have been avoiding bread and rice. I previously identified as someone who *needed* to have a starch with a meal in order to feel satisfied, but honestly the last three weeks have been just fine without them–the only problem is packing my lunches for school without making a sandwich.

Still, I get carbs in my sweet potatoes and carrots and so forth, so I haven’t been totally without–just drastically reduced.

I used to be that person too. I had to have a dinner roll or something with every dinner or it felt incomplete.

I hate low carb too but I think I’m going to just try lower my carbs not eliminating them. I don’t want to drive myself crazy.
