I’m not necessarily a new reader, but I enjoyed reading the tidbits about you at the end! It’s always interesting when you learn something new about someone! 🙂

Sometimes it’s nice to share more personal things.

Hey! I’ve been a reader for awhile and enjoyed all your Portland posts (biking, where you go in town) and try to force myself not to think of Portlandia while reading them 😛

      Ha that’s awesome!

Thanks for reading Katie. Where are you from?

I started reading your blog after seeing your guest post on run eat repeat. It caught my eye because I live in Portland too. I didn’t read it for a couple years because I took a detour from my weightloss journey. I was still eating right but had no interest in exercising and let life get in my way. I am one of those people who can maintain but not lose weight from diet alone. I just started reading again last summer when I decided to restart my weightloss journey. Love your blog! 🙂

Thanks for the link back to your post on plateaus. I have been struggling all month and just realized last week it was probably due to too much cardio and very little strength training. I have been using resistance bands and weights in some of my cardio this week. I’ve considered getting a gym membership just to use the weight machines but they have always intimidated me and I don’t know how to use them anyway. Did you have a personal trainer or someone to show you the ropes when you first started on the weight machines?

    1. Lisa Eirene

I am so glad you are back to reading and back on track. I hope you beat your plateau and continue losing. Strength training will definitely help with that.

Years ago I had a trainer, Christian. I had a bunch of sessions with him where he taught me weight lifting and then he opened his own crossfit gym. I went to his gym a few years ago and loved it! If you find the right trainer, they are wonderful.

I love your beer posts:) I also was drawn to your blog because of your personal achievement with the weight loss thingy. 110 pounds is BIG bragging rights, so you totally have my respect and admiration.

I have another beer post coming soon! 😉

What a great idea. It’s thoughtful giving new readers a brief chance to catch up with your story. Being a new reader of yours myself, the synopsis helps to give a better all around picture of who you are, and a bit of a timeline to frame it in a well.

    Thank You!

p.s. Lookin’ forward to that book!
