It was hilarious. I should have taken some more pictures. There were some good ones.

I wish that my city had a gym like your Warrior room because all we have is crossfit or big box gyms like LA Fitness. I need to learn the kbs

You never know, your city might have something similar. But I agree, I think crossfit is probably the closest thing…

This was such a cool idea from your gym!
Stupid question time: how do you wear your Garmin on your wrist while doing certain kb moves? I’d love to try wearing a heart rate monitor while doing a kb workout but since it goes on your wrist, am afraid I’d end up smashing it with one good snatch! Do you just turn it around? Does this affect how it “reads”?

Good question! I learned this the hard way when I was wearing my old HRM the normal way and the screen cracked a little. It still worked, but had some scratches and a crack. So when I workout I wear it the normal way but when I go to the Warrior Room or do KB work at my gym, I put the face of the watch on the inside of my wrist instead. It works great. No issues and don’t have to worry about it getting damaged. And it still tracks everything normally (but my HRM has a chest strap).

Thank you! Now I have to figure out how I want to track my health (FitBit, Garmin, Jawbone, heart rate monitor, etc.). There are so many options. This really helped though – it still seems to me that a heart rate monitor would be the most accurate, least expensive option. Surely there’s an app for the rest!

I am a huge fan of HRMs but finding one that LASTS is hard. I find that once the battery starts to go, it’s time for a new one. I’ve tried replacing batteries on several and they never really work the same (or at all) again.

the toys for kids just made my HEART SMILE.

    1. Lisa Eirene

Yeah! They got a ton of toys! It was a good thing.

What a great idea about the violations – texting isn’t so bad in the gym, it’s the people who talk loudly on their cell phones while on the treadmill – really?!

    Have a great weekend!

Oh I hate the talkers at the gym! It’s so annoying.
