      Agreed! It was way too much. The Second recipe was perfect! It worked great.

    Way to persevere! And the payoff was bread – win-win, right? Have you read the book “Sourdough” by Robin Sloan? It was a fun, quick read about a sourdough starter that has just a little bit of magic to it 🙂

    Yay! Do you have starter left? The older it gets, the better it tastes.

      I do have some starter left. I’m going out of town this weekend so I will keep it in the fridge until Sunday then next week I’ll use some of it and start feeding it and leaving it on the counter again. That worked well.
