My goal this year is to “believe”

I will believe that I can maintain my weight loss (after 4.9 more pounds)
I will believe that I can ride 75 miles in the MS 150 in Septemeber
I will believe that my foot will get better

I am so excited for you and the Century ride that you are planning on!!!

What a good goal! I like that. “Believe.” I will take a page from your book. 🙂

I believe I will keep the weight off.
I believe I will get my book published.
      I believe I will bike 100 miles.

      🙂

Great list! I’m also not big on NYR’s, but I do admit to being excited for the start of a new year. My focus for this year will be to be more assertive (I am the consumate dilpomat, sometimes to my detriment, to continue to deepen my expertise in my career, and yeah … To continue to eat right and exercise not so much for a number on the scale, but for how it makes me look and feel. I turn 45 in June, and I am findingthis age to be extremely self-reflective.

Great thoughts as always. One of my personal goals this year may seem silly, but I really want to get a good routine for keeping my house/yard/garden under control.

That’s not silly at all. This last summer we had our first veggie garden. We have a humongous yard and keeping it under control is a LOT of work!

Wow, just checked out your blog, very inspiring! Personally I’m not a big fan of NYR (my post of one was very snarky). I do have one “expectation”, to be healthy and happy, that’s it, who needs more than that?

    1. Lisa Eirene

Thank you, Rhonda! I agree. I don’t really make NYR anymore. I have monthly goals that I work towards to make myself a better person and I do set a few BIG goals for the year (like races I want to sign up for) but that’s about it.
