That’s so stressful!!! I hope he continues to feel better. I have a friend whose boy kitty had repeated rounds of this – she finally had some surgery done on him that shortened his urethra or something and it has been 100% effective. I know that’s pretty vague, but if they bring up a preventative option, at least one cat found it quite helpful!

Yes, the vet talked about that surgery. It’s very very expensive, like $3 or $4k if I remember…I am hoping we can avoid it and just fix the problem with the special prescription diet food.

Good luck!! My friend has a multi-cat household so keeping her cat away from the non-prescription food proved nearly impossible. That really is a lot of money if you can avoid it some other way.

Totally. I am basically feeding both cats the prescription food right now until I can figure out a way to separate them.

I am so glad that Stevie is feeling better and hope that he continues to improve. That sounds like it was an extremely stressful time. Pets do make life better and are such a balm in these times. When they get sick, it is extra hard because they can’t communicate what the heck is wrong…we just know something is off.
Also glad for Michael’s job and the negative Covid results. Glad to see that you and your family are ok. Thanks for sharing the highs and the lows. I usually don’t leave comments, but wanted you to know that your sharing helps and encourages.

Thank you so much for the comment! I appreciate it.
I’ve definitely gotten way better at knowing immediately if something is off with Stevie. It’s hard to tell with pets, but he’s pretty obvious when he’s not 100%.I just need to take action quicker.
