The Kitchenaid mixer has been on my wishlist for years. I’d also love more baking sheets and that stackable rack would be nice. One of the really simple things I have and use all the time is a Pampered Chef gizmo. Basically its a star-shaped spatula for breaking up hamburger or other ground meats while you cook it. We got it as a gift and I love it!

If can save the money or get the Kitchenaid as a gift, do it! One of the best things we’ve ever gotten for the kitchen!

My Dad bought my Mom one about 6 years ago. She loves it and I loved it while I still lived there. Since she has that, I swiped her old (older than I am) hand mixer, which doesn’t have low speed anymore. Its good for batters but dough? Forget it! Still, for now its better than nothing.

After my Christmas shopping is all paid of, I’m trying to decide whether I’d like to buy a serger or a mixer. Both big purchases, but both major wants!

Maybe the mixer will be on sale after Christmas…..

I have 6 of the racks but no longer make cookies. LOL

I have the super deluxe kitchenAid Mix master and I no longer make cakes or pasta – ROTFL

I have Julia’s book but most of the recipes involve butter, which is highly dangerous for me. I am thinking I need to re-do my kitchen.

But I do love the knives and the digital thermometer. I have superior grade sushi knives my husband bought me last Christmas but that thermometer is going on this years wish list.

Definitely get the digital thermometer! We LOVE ours.

Another really good gift idea for foodies is the wine/beer/chocolate/bacon/whatever of the month clubs they have. Or a gourmet food basket.

As far as gadgets and gizmos, I really really really want a vitamix. My blender is crapping out on me and go big or go home, right?

Good call! I forgot about that. My friend did the bacon of the month club for her hubby and they LOVED it. Different flavored bacon each month. It’s a shame it’s so expensive, otherwise I would do that for Michael.

And a blender is a good one too. My Magic Bullet is on it’s last legs. 🙁
