A lot of the workout clothes I have I’ve had for a few years now. It’s kind of nice that they haven’t worn out after all these years. When I was first losing my weight, I had to buy new clothes monthly. It cost a LOT of money and I wasn’t too smart about it. What I should have done was bought my “in between” clothes at a second hand store to save on the cost. Most of those clothes I bought I only wore a few times before they were too big.
I remember having to buy new sports bras and new tank tops to workout in because they’d soon be hanging off my body. Since I’ve been in maintenance mode the last 5 years, I haven’t changed much. The size I’m at is pretty much it, I think.
When I was contacted by Albion Fit to test out one of their workout shirts, I jumped at the chance because it isn’t often that I find CUTE workout clothes. They are usually just functional and downright plain. Albion Fit wasn’t plain. They had all sorts of options to choose from, including jackets, pants and swim wear. What also appealed to me was that they claimed to be a very “green” company on their website. I want to support companies like this that use recycled products to make their wears.
ALBION’S MISSION IS TO PROVIDE WOMEN WITH THE MOST LUXURIOUS, FLATTERING, AND HASSLE-FREE FITNESS AND LEISURE APPAREL ON THE MARKET.
I chose the Racer Tank Top to test out because I hate workout shirts with sleeves. I don’t know about you guys, but I get really hot when I work out and tanks are preferred.
The first shirt was a medium and it was too small. I went off their sizing chart, which said I was a medium, and all of my other workout shirts are mediums. I was definitely disappointed when I received it and it was too small to even try on. That’s one of the downsides of shopping online–not having the opportunity to try it on first. The good news was that the exchange was super easy and fast. I got a large within a week and was able to give a proper try.
Albion states, “Our garments are fashionable and unique, but more importantly practical and technical. Designed by women, our apparel is crafted for women wherever they may be in their fitness goals. Our clothes easily transition from work out gear to lounging gear: whether she’s running an errand or 26.2 miles across a finish line.”
I wore it a few times to the gym to see how I liked it before giving you guys a review. So here is my review of the shirt:
The shirt is cute, I love the design and simple lines of it. It doesn’t ride up while I’m working out like a lot of shirts can do. It’s easy to clean and doesn’t shrink in the laundry. The fabric is soft and comfortable. The shirt would be perfect for working out rigorously or a yoga class.
I feel like the shirt was flattering and I loved the teal color, too! Returns and exchanges were virtually painless and quick.
The sizing chart on their website isn’t accurate, as I described above. I think accuracy is crucial for keeping customers and wanting them to come back. If it’s not accurate, I feel like it’s too much work to figure it out.
Now I get to give one of you guys the shirt! It’s valued at $48 but I get to give one to a reader!
