I know, these are a gift from God. Believe me, I know.

But you know what I also learned lately? That taking the sugar out of treats like these removes them from the Trigger category. I’ve really learned that the sugar spike is what causes the trigger! I made sugar-free oatmeal cookies for breakfast this morning, ate a few, and was done. No sugar spike = no insatiable cravings and inability to NOT eat the whole batch. It’s seriously a game changer!

Anyhoo, thanks for inspiring me to do my own pantry/fridge challenge. I’ll have to post on it soon but everything for the cookies this morning came out of my own cupboard. I’ve been to the store once in 10 days!

That’s so cool you’re doing the challenge too! I want to hear all about it.

That’s really interesting about the no sugar = no trigger. I will have to pay attention to that next time.

I just got a new recipe for pumpkin brownies. I love the baking process and can’t wait to see what they taste like.

But I’m like you, and if they’re sitting around the house I’ll obsess about them until I’ve eaten them all. And since they are not low fat or low sugar I’ll need to figure out what to do with the rest of the pan after I’ve had my one portion.

Today is a perfect day to bake, it’s overcast and drizzly.

OMG, I love No Pudge Brownies! My college grocery store used to keep them in stock, and I liked them because they only needed two ingredients (yogurt and No Pudge mix), they’re NO PUDGE, and they’re soooo delicious.

I loved that there were only two ingredients too.

Those look really good. I’ve always been intrigued by them but am really picky about not having dry brownies. I’m impressed at how those look.

I loove those No Pudge Brownies. There’s also a recipe on the side for a single serving if you can’t resist the whole pan… 🙂
