Cookie Party

Buttercream Icing Recipe

3 cups confectioner’s sugar

1/3 cup butter

1-2 tablespoons milk

1 teaspoon vanilla

Combine all ingredients and mix until smooth. If icing is a little runny add more sugar. If it’s too thick add more milk.

I sent a message out to the Twitter Universe last week asking for a sugar cookie icing recipe and “Coco” sent me this recipe:

1 cup powdered sugar

2 Tablespoons water or lemon juice

1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar

Mix together and then add food coloring.

The lemon icing was really delicious. I added food coloring to each batch. Let the cookie decorating begin!

  1. I made this exact frosting last night but had no cookies to put it on. I had a hankering…but our oven is broken.
I just mixed some up in a coffee cup and I ate it with a spoon. It was a very small batch šŸ˜‰
