Monday night meant Monday Night Football for Michael. For me? It meant wrapping presents and watching “Dorian Gray.”
Santa seems to have arrived a little early this year. Or maybe it just LOOKS like there are a lot of presents under the tree because the tree is so tiny. 😉 I don’t mind. Michael and I set a budget for gifts this year, which in retrospect was a really good idea.
QUESTION: Do you set a budget or just go crazy with shopping?
Dinner time was approaching and I was so not in the mood to cook something complicated. Michael tossed out some ideas for dinner and one of them was nachos. I said sure because it was easy and who am I kidding–I always want sour cream!
In case you’ve never made Nachos in your life I’ve selflessly detailed how to make nachos here. (Enter eye roll here.) Carefully place onion, jalapeno and olive on each chip. Feel free to be as anal-retentive as you want. Or if your style is more flippant–just dump it on top. As you can see, I am very anal-retentive.
How are they Christmas nachos? The colors! Green from the onions and jalapenos. I wanted to chop some red peppers on top but realized we were out. So I improvised with (red) salsa and of course sour cream (white).
For dessert I made an eggnog in a small glass with half milk and half Light Eggnog. I also ate 1 chocolate chip cookie and one Christmas cookie while I watched my movie. The movie was good. It’s difficult for me to not judge everything about it when I absolutely loved the book “The Picture of Dorian Gray.” Oscar Wilde is in my top 5 of favorite authors and Dorian Gray is one of my favorite books. But all in all the movie was worth watching.
Remember….Santa is watching you!
