Chinese laterns! I love those plants. My dad has some of those in his yard and his climate is pretty similar to yours I think. I bet they would grow!

    My goals for the month:

Start actually tracking my calories (I do good until dinner time).
    Start weight lifting.
    Survive Ragnar Las Vegas.

Chinese lanterns! I will have to look for some to plant.

Good luck with Ragnar Vegas. That sounds AWESOME!

Let me know what you think about spin class! I will be trying some spin classes this winter- for the days when it is too cold for outside riding. I don’t think I will enjoy it as much as being outside- but it could be a good substitution. I am riding my first organized bike ride this Saturday! I can’t wait!!! 🙂

      Good luck on Saturday!

I’ve wanted to try a spin class for awhile but never did because I have a bike and a trainer at home….but it might be a nice change.

At some point this October, my goal needs to be make some real goals instead of just floating along.

Thanks for sharing the pretty fall colors pictures and your accomplishments and goals 😀

Oh I hear YA!!!!!! That’s exactly how I feel right now–just floating along. I need a goal. A race, or something.

I’m having a hard time adjusting to this new weather as well. I find myself needing that second cup of coffee pretty much every day.. although that might just be because of school. We will adjust soon enough.

It’s definitely getting more difficult to get up in the morning. It will make bike commuting interesting for sure.

What wonderful goals! My goal for October is to select a landscaper and get our back yard started! lol

    1. Lisa Eirene

I think that’s a great idea. Do it now before the little one comes!

Those Japanese lanterns are cool aren’t they? They are perennials, too.

I’m doing a pink picture every day on my blog to raise awareness for breast cancer this month.

    1. Lisa Eirene

I love them. They are so cute. I want to plant some.

I think your October goal is a great one! Thanks for sharing it here.

Love those Japanese lanterns! Great goals for October.

Great goals for October Lisa! I know how you feel though. I am feeling a little less than inspired too. But I think this is when it’s most importatnt to keep going and try harder. I’m just going to make one goal cause it’s so importatnt to me right now and I feel it slipping and getting slowing out of control.

    1. Get serious about my weight loss. No more cheese, wine and freeforalls during the week. End. Of. Story.

Thanks so much for helping me with your beauitful blog and posts. You have no idea how much inspiration and love you provide for us readers!

You are so right. We just have to keep going and try harder.

No cheese and wine?!?!?! The horror. Especially living in France. How can you resist? 🙂

Thanks for reading and being a positive and supportive person! 🙂

Spinning is great! I thought it might be really boring, but my instructor plays great music that really keeps everybody pumped up.

    1. Lisa Eirene

It sounds like fun to me. And I like the idea of an instructor pushing me to try harder. I definitely don’t do intervals when I’m on the bike trainer in my house. I just do steady, consistent (aka long, boring cardio).

I love this time of year. My goals are simple as well. I need to keep track of calories again. I let it slide for the past week, and I’m sure I gained a couple of pounds. Not good! Calorie Tracker is so easy. Love it. I also need to exercise at least four days a week. If I can stick to those two basic goals, maybe next month I can try for something more challenging.

    1. Lisa Eirene

Sometimes having simple goals (count calories, exercise 4 days a week) is all you need!
