It was delicious! Michael and I have been eating the leftovers this week for lunches and it’s even better reheated.

The Pioneer Woman has a mean lasagna recipe, of course it has 2.5 lbs of meat and over a pound of cheese so it’s far from low calorie! I liked the recipe because when you served it the serving stayed stacked and intact, rather than sliding all over the plate. I think the secret is to using slices of cheese rather than shredded, and using tomato paste and whole tomatoes (or diced) but no tomato sauce.
Your lasagna looks good! Did you make garlic bread to go with it?

You had me at “a pound of cheese”!!!

My cousin made the Pioneer Woman’s bourbon chicken for her wedding rehearsal dinner and it was A-MAZ-ING!! I’ve wanted to try some of her recipes but the calories kind of scared me off of it. No, we didn’t do garlic bread with dinner. It’s kind of my weakness!

I agree, The Pioneer Woman’s Lasagna is great! In her recipe, you let the lasagna cool for 5-10 minutes (it’s really hard!). That way, it’s not so runny.

The consensus seems to be that the Pioneer Woman’s lasagna is the best. I will definitely check it out.
I think this recipe I used said to let it sit for 15 min before serving but we were impatient. 🙂

I grew up on lasagna so it is a simple dish to me and I make it pretty simple but it sometimes takes forever lol! I love this lasagna you made, I might need to try it soon!!!!!

Let me know if you make any changes! I will definitely be trying lasagna again. I would like to make it and have it stay in one piece….

I have been asking bf to make his lasagna for months! One of my favorite foods and we almost never have it.

And what I wouldn’t give for a dishwasher! haha I don’t even think our counters are deep enough to put one in. We have the tiniest kitchen with no counter space and not much storage either.

      What recipe does he use?

My parents have never had a dishwasher. I never had one until I moved out on my own. Everywhere I lived had one except for one apartment but it was just me so I didn’t mind washing a few dishes a day.
