Can’t STAND people like that! One of the reasons I stopped going to the gym – people can be so inconsiderate and idiotic there!

People like the chick last night really do make me want to take my workout home. Why be stressed and annoyed at the gym? Save money and workout at home!

Man I got so annoyed just reading your recap of your experience at the gym! People talking on their cell phones gets me so irritated when they are using a cardio machine, but I’ve never had anything that annoying before!

I hate those kinds of people. She needed an hour to get at least 30 minutes of collective exercising in.
I used to laugh at the women who came in drenched in perfume and covered in makeup. I thought this was a gym, not a meat market. Add to that, the men who gawk at themselves in the mirror while lifting weights. Not in a constructive way, but in a “I’m hotter than crap” way.

I wish someone would have told her to get the hell off the machine and made her feel like the idiot she is especially after not wiping the machines down.

Jenn I was sooooo tempted to say “You are being a machine hog and a rude annoying jerk. Get OFF YOUR PHONE!” But she left before I could. Grrr…

I hate the guys with too much cologne on the treadmill next to me. UGH.

My list of funny things I’ve seen at the gym:
The lady who sang VERY LOUDLY to the music on her Ipod. There was music coming from speakers, but she was singing the song on her headphones. She was lifting weights.
The guy who came to exercise (more than one time) with his dad and wore Flip Flops. Lucky for him they seemed to be focusing on using the nautilus machines.
The lady who uses the recumbant bike while holding her pocketbook on her shoulder the whole time. I’m kind of curious as to what is in her pocketbook.
    There’s more, but I’ll stop.

Don’t stop! That’s hilarious!! Do we go to the same gym??

The singing chick…Oh my god I’ve seen her at the gym. AND the guy on the stairmaster that would clap his hands every two minutes. Um, what?

Some people just dont have appropriate gym (or life) ettiquette!

I cannot stand the people who finish a set or a workout and then linger around the machines a while saying “Whew!!!” loudly as they wait for applause or something. I am all about the friendly smiles and so on, but please don’t hold me up while you stand there ‘catching your breath’… ahem, move it along!

    1. Lisa Eirene

Hahaha!!!! I wonder what would happen if one day you DID applaud??

  7. Coco

Wow! So glad I workout at home!

One day there was a young lady with tons of makeup, tons of hair product, brown velour pants, a black bra, and a sheer lace tank top. Seriously? It’s the GYM.

I saw a girl in a dress and F Me Boots with stiletto heels on the elliptical once. 😉

      1. lisa

She must have been working on her calf muscles, on the elliptical in high heel shoes.

I’ll keep that in mind! 🙂

I had one of those at my gym not long ago, only she was a brunette and had a belly piercing (how do I know this? because she had no towel and was instead pulling up her singlet top every 2 seconds to wipe the imaginary sweat off her brow so we could all get a peek at her toned belly). I tried so hard not to judge but when she got out the phone and pedalled the bike at a mere 1 rep per hour while she texted for 5 minutes I couldn’t help myself! She did about 5 minutes of texting on the bike, went and sat on the rowing machine to rest, ran on the treadmill for 2 minutes, did a set of squats with a 1.25kg bar and went home :s None of that was the problem though, SHE didn’t wipe anything down either.

Ugh!!!! What kind of workout did she get? Just wasting space.

      1. Amy

Haha, I know! I was wondering the same! I’m guessing she’s one of those lucky naturally thin people but I did wonder why on earth she was there :s
