I am in complete shock that Bella and Maya are civil with each other. Hopefully Yggdrasil settles down soon.

Also… I’m dying to see a picture of your dress!

I was shocked too. I stood there watching Maya and was so surprised she was chill. She seemed so unbothered by the dog!

Oh those furbabies! They certainly keep us on our toes, don’t they?

I agree about the trick or treaters. We had a HUGE amount less this year, so much so that I got sick of standing around and dumped what was left in one kid’s bag!

I got to the point where I was giving the kids handfuls!

I will admit it is easier to deal with having multiple animals when the dog is the older one and the cat is the younger. I got Red (my 10 year old dog) first and the cat came a few years after that as a kitten. From day one he adored Red and treated her like his other mom. Red has always been our easy going, gentle, kind, easy to train dog anyways.

Bringing Arya in the house was harder (2 year old monster puppy). She LOVES the cat but the cat does not love all her energy. But if given the chance the cat would sneak a nap with her when Arya was being calm. It helped that the cat had already been raised with a dog his whole life. I just let them work it out for the most part as long as no one was hurting the other. It took some time but they live pretty peacefully together now. Arya has also been the most difficult to train but I did all the same commands as you are doing. Are you guys working on sitting before going in or out doors? That was a BIG one we did for Arya so she wouldn’t bolt. We also make her do it in and out of her carrier as well.

I did HORRIBLE with the candy this year. UGH! >_<

Interesting! I think part of the issue is that the kitties were so used to being the #1 for so long. Perhaps if we hadn’t waited so long to get a dog it might have been easier…who knows.

That’s sweet about Arya! She sounds like an adorable dog!

Sorry about the halloween candy. Have you gotten rid of the leftovers or are they still in the house?

We actually ran out of our halloween treats, which were mini bags of Goldfish crackers. John had to break out his pernsonal secret stash of Hershey’s nuggets to start giving out LOL! We had more kids than expected.

It takes a long time for the animals to get along. I do think it has to do with ages as well. Older cats just do get set in their ways.

What a great idea! I love the Goldfish. Next year I’ll look something other than candy to pass out.
