I’m totally a gym rat. I don’t think I could ever work out at home unless I lived alone, because I feel more judgement from the people I live with than I do from strangers at the gym. Plus, I feel like the equipment and ranges of the equipment at the gym is SO much more than I could ever dream of collecting and affording for an at-home gym, unless I won the lottery 😛

Rachel, that’s too bad your friends aren’t supportive! I agree with you though,GOING to the gym just means more options!

I can’t wait to download the app. We have some room to work out at home, but not a lot. The Precor’s in the garage and one day we’ll have a TV out there too. That would help a lot!

Did you see that they’re screening a Hood To Coast documentary in PDX this month? I think it was filmed in 2008. Might be fun (or traumatic) for you to see. It was in Portland mag.

Yes! Download it. I think you’ll like it.

Yep, I was aware of the movie. I would like to see it. I think the screenings are all sold out but somehow I’d like to see the movie. It will be emotional, but good I think.

Great workout! I will do whatever I can to work out. I can’t get a good enough heavy lifting workout at home, just because I don’t have the heavy weights. Other than that, I don’t care where my workout happens. I prefer biking outside above all else, but I have the trainer for winter and the treadmill at the gym.

You’ll get the pushups down. It takes a long time as pushups really are more the chest than the arms. Muscle/strength building is a slow and steady process. 😀

I would much rather workout outside–running, hiking, cycling. It’s just too damn cold here right now! (And rainy.)

Congrats for kicking your year off right!! 🙂 I LOVE going to the gym, but the problem is I really have a hard time getting myself there so most of my workouts take place at home now as it is easier for me to convince myself to go downstairs for an hour than out lol.

what an intense workout! I’m so impressed. It is really cool to see someone actually use a bike trainer like that!
