Your Christmas sounded so relaxing, and the food looked and sounded so delish!

It was really relaxing and I think that’s what we both needed.

You’ll have to get more specifics on the salmon–what temp and for how long was it cooked?!? I’m curious, as I love to cook salmon and am still learning how to “get it right”. I posted last week about a method where you put it in a cold oven set for 400 degrees and set the timer for 25 minutes. It did actually work quite well!

Sounds like a lovely Christmas! Can’t wait to hear more about the kitchen gadgets! πŸ™‚

It was a huge cut of salmon and kind of thick. She baked it on the middle rack at 350. We started at 15 minutes then checked it and did another 10 minutes.

Sounds like you had a great holiday, and such god pictures! Love the owl ornament. πŸ™‚

My favorite present is probably going to be one I purchased with a gift card I got. Its a media player that you hook up to the TV and plug in a hard drive and you can play your video (and other files) on your TV! That will save me so many DVDs and time!

Oh cool! Michael has something similar set up. I totally don’t understand it but somehow we can play all our movies and TV shows from the computer on the TV through the XBox. Don’t ask! I am clueless!

Yeah I didn’t even know such a thing existed! I did a search on Amazon for something else, misspelled it, and these things came up in the results. Was totally floored and HAD to have one! LOL

It’s nice being able to get rid of clutter. Michael put all his DVDs and CDs on the computer server at home so that he could get rid of the actual hard copies and save space!

My only xmas present was money. It was all I asked for since I am off on my trip to the states in a week and a half. My family was very generous, and I am very grateful!

Your presents sound great, and just what you wanted/needed πŸ™‚

Oh yeah!!! Enjoy your vacation! I can’t wait to hear where you go. πŸ™‚

That is a beautiful table setting! sounds like a wonderful Christmas as well.

I can’t pick a favorite gift I got this year because they were all so perfect πŸ˜€

I had to laugh about the camera instructions. We hardly ever read manuals either. Whenever we get something new, John says “We don’t need no stinkin’ instructions!” LOL.

    1. Lisa Eirene

I’m glad I’m not the only one! I just start to zone out when I read instruction manuals. I am more of a hands on person. πŸ™‚

It looks like you had a wonderful holiday too! Happy new year!

      It was! Healthy and delicious.

Looks like you made out like a bandit – perfect combo of relaxing and being with family! I wish I liked salmon, it always looks good, but its a bit too fishy for me.

My husband and I didn’t exchange gifts this year – money is too tight and we really don’t “need” anything anyway!

    1. Lisa Eirene

Yes, salmon is a strong fish. Do you like halibut? That’s pretty mild.

I like the idea of not exchanging gifts and saving the money to take a trip or do something special together.
