Sorry you were sick. You must be my TV twin. I absolutely loved the Anne of Green Gables movies! They are wonderful. I also love the Anne of Avonlea series that was on TV in the 90s. I just started watching Downtown Abbey yesterday when I saw it on Hulu. I’m only about 20 minutes into it, but I like it so far. Have you seen North and South? It’s by far the best period drama!

Oooh, the BBC North and South? Or the Civil War North and South with Patrick Swayze?

BBC one I’m in LOVE with too!

I will be watching North and South next!

Isn’t Downton Abbey great? I love it so much. I hope I can find season 2 online somewhere. I’ve missed part of it. I have North and South in my Netflix queue.

You might be able to still find the first few episodes of the second season on Pbs.org

Gah, being sick sucks πŸ™ But at least you got some rest and kitty snuggles, both of which are cures for the common cold πŸ™‚

My sick movies are also from my childhood; Bedknobs and Broomsticks and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. I managed to find both on DVD, so I am good to go for sick days!

Kitty snuggles are the best. He definitely makes me feel better.

I LOVE Anne of Green Gables/Avonlea! I live in New York and have seen tons of celebrities but the one that I got the most excited about and will never forget? Seeing Gilbert while I was on a walk around the Central Park Reservoir. I almost turned around and went all stalker on him!

Downton Abbey is my current fave though. SOOO good!

    Hope you feel better!

Oh my gosh! I totally would have followed Gilbert and told him how much I loved him as a kid! πŸ™‚

One of my favorite movies I can watch over and over again is Usual Suspects. Love that movie!

I just finished season 1 of Downton Abby. What a great show! I know you can go to PBS website and watch the other seasons online, but I am hoping they come out on netflix soon.

Sorry you are sick! I hope you are feeling better! I usually don’t watch movies more than once- but I can watch Ghost over and over- especially when I am sick. I cry ALL the illness away.
I have been thinking about watching Downtown Abbey on Hulu…. now that I see you like it- I might give it a whirl!

    1. Lisa Eirene

Give it a try! You’ll get sucked in after one episode.
