    Hope you are feeling better!

My last doctor (who is not my doctor now) told me that I needed to exercise a lot more to lose weight. This was when I was running and I remember I had run 7 miles that morning. I asked her how much more she thought I should run and she didn’t have an answer. Then she said “Welcome to perimenopause”. So lame.

Starting to feel more normal today.

That is the dumbest thing ever. Really? 7 mile run and she said to exercise MORE? Ugh, some doctors are just plain idiotic.

I never did understand what was so amazing about Kefir. I am not the biggest fan of how it tastes.

I honestly haven’t gotten any colds or flu’s this year and I contribute it to quitting smoking 7 months ago lol. I think it all just depends on your immune system and what bugs you are being exposed to. Last year I felt like I caught every tiny bug out there to catch. But I will admit I am having horrible allergies.

I am sorry about the blood pressure. Someone once suggested to me to take it at home, being at the doctors in general elevates mine.

I’m actually a fan of the kefir. I like the Trader Joe’s brand. It’s tasty and not overpowering.

I bet quitting smoking helped a lot! Sorry about the allergies. I’m sure mine will start up here any day now… 😛

How did you respond to your doctor? Did you explain that you already do everything the doc was recommending?

    1. Lisa Eirene

I didn’t respond. She wasn’t my regular doctor and I was feeling so crappy I just didn’t care.

Ugh, some doctors are the worst! I had a friend with an eating disorder, and she got dangerously thin at one point, and stopped having her period. That scared her enough to put on 20 lbs. prior to her wedding and she looked great. She went back to her regular doctor (who should have known about the eating disorder) and he immediately told her she needed to lose 15 lbs.

And then there was my doctor who I went to when I was about 25 lbs overweight. Of course she made a point of telling me I needed to lose weight and started giving me pointers on exercise, what not to eat, etc. And she herself was at least 60 lbs. overweight. I was like “really?”.

Okay, that is not ok! Doctors can be so dumb. I really hope your friend saw that the doc was an idiot and she didn’t need to lose weight.
