That looks so yummy!! Love the shredded chicken in a crock pot idea. Also that hike looks so pretty!

I am sorry about your feet. My lower back and It band are amazingly tight due to sitting at my job all the time. Sometimes I think it is worse to have a desk job than a standing one. I hope it gets better soon!

Yes, sitting seems to be bugging my back. I’m trying to take it easy. Walking seems to help it.

I am getting my knee looked at tomorrow – it’s been bothering me for 3 weeks, and enough is enough. It hurts when I first stand up if I’ve been at my desk for a while, but after walking it goes away, and it doesn’t hurt at all when I walk outside for any length of time or on the treadmill – but every once in a while I’ll go up the stairs and feel a sharp pain on top of my knee – my Spartan race is 7 weeks away and I want to be okay to do it!

Yikes, glad you are getting it looked at. I hope it’s something that heals quickly!

Those trillium are gorgeous! I love woodland flowers.

Sorry about all your body issues. I have been getting a lot of those and I hate thinking about aging and all that stuff. It sucks when you finally get all the weight off and then this stuff happens.

    1. Lisa Eirene

I never really felt “my age” until recently. Dang it. 🙁

I find it really interesting the difference in calorie burns between you and Michael. So, let’s see, there’s the size difference, gender, it’s possible maybe he somehow was more active even though you did the same hike? I am curious about your take on it.

    1. Lisa Eirene

I think you are right with the age, size and gender differences. Also, fitness level makes a difference. I know that the more fit I am, the LESS calories I burn when I work out. Which sucks. LOL

      1. Danielle

Oh, yeah, I didn’t think about fitness levels, if you’re less in shape then your heart rate would be higher leading to higher calorie burn. Very interesting. Thanks for the response.

        1. Lisa Eirene

Yep, less in shape, you’re body is working harder to do the same activity. Michael is in decent shape but he doesn’t do the amount of fitness I do. In the summer when he’s biking to work every day and doing 100+ miles a week, he definitely beats me on that!

The photos of the flowers look so lovely. Staring at the different flowers and leaves that I don’t normally see is one of the things that makes hiking something I can’t live without. I hope your feet feel much better.

They are much better, thank you.
