    I love crockpot beef!
I’m going to put up my pulled pork recipe this week, which you can do in the crockpot!

Thanks! I’d love to see your recipe for pulled pork. That will be my next attempt!

Funny – when I was a kid, we ate London Broil all the time, but “London Broil” was a piece of beef filet wrapped in bacon. That was what was on the grocery store package, and we grilled them. I was wondering how you were going to make that in the crockpot! LOL!

This looks good, though. Perfect winter food. I have a crockpot but rarely use it. My mother would be ashamed of me. 🙂

Now your version of “London Broil” sounds awesome! Bacon! YUM!

I’ve made this recipe for years. I copied it from some cookbook and I have no idea where I got the recipe. Now I’m curious about the name!

Thank you for a new Crock Pot recipe. I can always use more “go to” crock pot meals as a busy student and mother.

My “Go to” Crock Pot recipe: BBQ Ribs
Ribs (1-3lbs, any type you like, I default to boneless – they fall apart)
Kosher Salt and Freshly Ground Black Pepper
    1 can Coke
    1 bottle bbq sauce
Put ribs (trim if you prefer, which I do) in crock pot. As you add, salt and pepper according to your tastes. Try to keep seasonings even across the surfaces, as any ribs you lay on top of the ones below will get seasoning on both sides. Add all ribs to crock pot.

Open can of coke. Pour half of can over ribs. Figure out what to do with the other half of can. 🙂 Put lid on crock pot. Turn to low and leave alone for 6-7 hours.

After 6-7 hours, empty liquid from crock pot and add bbq sauce to taste.

Cook 1 more hour on low.

    Eat.

(Exceptionally good with cheesy potatoes and either broccoli or corn.)

Mmmmm thanks Mer! I saved this one. I will definitely be making it soon. Since Michael and I are both ex-vegetarians we’d rather not eat meat right off a bone so I’d probably do the boneless ribs.

The easiest recipe for the crock pot is to put a whole chicken in, generously cover with your favorite spice blend (cajun seasoning, lemon pepper, Montreal Chicken mix, etc), put about 1 c of water in and cook on low for about 6 hours. The chicken will be falling apart. You can add carrots, onions and other vegetables to make a stew, or you can just cook the chicken alone.

The London Broil recipe looks great! Hopefully I’ve got a flank steak in the freezer to make this with, since I have all the other ingredients.

I never thought about trying a whole chicken in the crockpot. I have a smaller crockpot so I’m not sure if it would work with mine but maybe a small chicken or a game hen?

This sounds delicious. I will be making this very soon. My go to crockpot recipe involves chicken and salsa. Done. Frozen chicken breasts are covered in salsa. Turn the crock pot on low. Shred the chicken with two forks when you get home after work. We will have it on lettuce for taco salad meat.

Making this for dinner tonight. I did add mushrooms. Had a taste of it and it is yummy! Only thing I would do different next time is add sliced onions and bell peppers. Thanks for the recipe!

I bet onion is a great addition!
