Love this! I have been noticing some changes and was wondering if they were due to being healthier or what but it is true, things do change even when you just make small changes.

The small changes add up to something big sometimes.

The energy boost from working out and getting healthy is so counter-intuitive when you’re just starting out. My husband is so tired all the time, and I keep trying to convince him that adding more movement to his once-a-week Sunday walk/run will only add to his energy level, not make him more tired. And it will improve his sleep, which will make him more rested which will also add to his energy. It’s a real leap of faith in many ways, but so rewarding when it starts to pay off. Great post, Lisa!

Good point! When you are first starting out it is a big change. I remember being SO exhausted that first month I started swimming. But eventually it got easier and easier!

These are great points, and your insight is spot on too. On #6, I’ve been thinking about how much my tastes have changed. Even some of the healthier options I relied on when I started to eat better don’t work for me any more because I notice the additives more.

Isn’t it crazy how easily you can taste those things now??
