I’m surprised you haven’t needed a full rest day post century! I normally have a lot of trouble getting back into the swing of things after a big event!

I was shocked too. I was so crippled after Hood to Coast last year I was worried this would be a repeat.

I did the 72 miles on Sunday. Monday I woke up feeling a bit stiff but not too sore. I swam. Tuesday I biked. Wednesday I did no activity other than walking.

I always get really annoyed when I get honked/ yelled at. I just remind myself that I am in the right and that the honker is being childish. Then I move on.

Some jerky cyclists do give the rest of us a bad name but I follows the rules of the road. It’s weird how aggressive and angry drivers are about cyclists just in general…

It is.. especially in a city that is supposed to be, “The best for cyclists in the US” or whatever ranking it has!

Portland fell to #2 I think but yes–with all the cyclists here you’d think people would be nicer to them!
