I’m happy for you and your physical therapy success:) I’d like to try snowshoeing this winter. But I don’t know anyone else that would consider that a good time in my area. I guess I’ll have to widen my social circle.

I hope you do find some friends to give snowshoeing a try! It’s so much fun and a great workout. You should check out local fitness or adventure/outdoorsy type stores. If you have REI where you live they have clubs. Maybe Mazamas?

I don’t know if you live anywhere near snow, but you should definitely give it a try. It’s so much fun!

Great job on getting that mile in! I am sure you’ll have no problem with the snow shoeing, which sounds like a ton of fun.

I had to look up that restaurant Canlis that Top Chef was at – holy moly is it expensive! Their signature salad was $16 and their steaks I think started at $68!

Oh man, I checked it out too. What a crazy nice restaurant!

So glad that I came across your blog! I can’t run well but that’s not what I’m scared of. I love lifting heavy weights but haven’t lifted heavy in years due to the fact that I had to have an emergency surgery from a strangulated hiatal hernia. Online I had read tons of people saying that theirs was caused from lifting heavy and the thought of someone cutting into my chest again just freaks me out. But I’m never going to achieve my personal goals if I don’t go back to lifting heavy.

Glad that you were able to concur your fear and run. I hope that the snowshoeing works out for you!

It’s really hard to get back into an activity that caused an injury. It’s hard to trust your body, or trust what your body is telling you!
