Sounds like a really cool place! I just use my kettlebells in the ol’ basement. I’m not a big fan of “classes”.

Kettlebells are so much fun and I started seeing and feeling a difference almost immediately.

I live in Milwaukie not far from this gym. I walk by it all the time with my dogs and have been super curious about trying it.

I used to drive by it all the time too and I’m glad I finally gave it a try. There is a deal for it right now –I can’t remember if it was Amazon Local or Groupon but look for it.

I want to try this gym. I saw the Living Social coupoin.

I think you should get the Groupon. I’m glad I did.

Lisa, I just stumbled on this post and LOVED it. Thank you so much. I do PR and marketing for The Warrior Room (I feel it’s important to stress I do this pro bono – I have worked with the owner, Ashley, for two years to help turn her dream into a reality.) The Groupon is still available: at:https://www.groupon.com/deals/warrior-room

Have you taken new Kettlebell Conditioning class yet we just launched this month? It sounds very relevant to what you’re looking for – safe and expert instruction.

An all level, highly technical, strength based work out exclusively using kettlebells. From fundamental kettlebell moves to more complicated maneuvers, this one hour classes main objective is to familiarize warriors with core kettlebell exercises, while refining form and building endurance. Each work out will be customized to each warrior’s ability in the class and will include grind and ballistic movements to get the heart rate up and the muscles burning.

Finally, everyone is invited to enjoy a first free class! It’s the best way to test drive what you’re getting. I highly recommend a fundamental or Kettlebell Conditioning class for the first time.

I hope to see you soon at the gym!

Thanks for the comment Jody. I saw that there is another groupon. I’ve been encouraging people to get it and give it a try. As for the kettlebell conditioning class, I REALLY want to take that. Unfortunately my groupon is almost up and the KB Conditioning classes never seem to be at the right time for me to make it there. Hopefully in the future.

I started working with kettlebells this summer. It was a game changer for me. I’ve never taken a class, but since I knew that proper from was critical to avoid injury, I watched a ton of Youtube vids to learn proper technique. That may not be the best way for everyone to learn, but it’s what I did. I just got a new Polar (first time ever!). Gotta slap that baby on the wrist and see what my calorie burn is.

Kudos to Groupon for hooking you up with a good deal so you could try it all out!

I love how efficient kettle bells are. It can be a good “quickie” workout. Yes! Check out the calorie burn. I think you will be impressed.

Community is a super important element for a lot of people when it comes to fitness. It’s motivating and keeps you accountable. I like it that you’re getting help with your form! Now that I’ve been online coaching a year, I do much more video with my clients. I made deadlift and squat videos mandatory. There’s just too much room for error and it scares me! Be careful… those types of classes can result in overuse injuries. I always say this but people never listen. Ah well 😉

    1. Lisa Eirene

Oh yes, this Queen of Injury is very aware of possible over-use injury. I only go to the Warrior room 2x a week and the other workout days are my normal cardio, yoga and swimming. And YAY! Glad you finally did some videos!

      1. Suzanne @WorkoutNirvana

Well, I didn’t do videos actually but require my clients to send them ;D. Geesh, you just reminded me I need to do that…
I’m glad you have such great awareness. Twice a week is often enough to cause an overuse injury in weak areas, so keep that in mind.

hmmm I WILL BE OUT YOUR WAY THIS SUMMER (she shouts) and I should organize a friend fieldtrip to the Warrior ROOM!!!

    1. Lisa Eirene

Woohoo!! That would be really fun!

The Warrior Room does offer private classes for friends in groups bigger than 5, which include one hour instruction, physical assessments and a cold pint of Kettlebell Blond Ale afterwards, custom brewed for us by a nano brewer in Milwaukie!
