What an amazing article!! I love this. As someone fighting to lose the weight at the beginning of my journey, this article made me feel a lot better about the little progress I have been making and to also see how maybe my size benefits me a bit. I am still going to fight for every pound but it is good to see the positive in all the numbers on the scale!

Point number 2 hit the nail on the head, for me! I lost around 45 pounds and post wedding I am up 6. To most people 6 pounds doesn’t seem like a big deal but for me it is. I can see them, I can feel them. My clothes are too tight, and I have a tummy pooch. I want them to go away. Which they will because I joined a gym that I love and I’m going 6 times a week in addition to eating better. Post wedding I just stopped caring for a few months until I saw that weight creeping back up. You can’t stop caring, not even for a second!

Oh yeah,it’s noticeable now. I gained 5 pounds on my honeymoon and I just feel awful.

Great post but there’s one thing missing for me. I’ve lost 80 lbs and still have about 30 more to go. Last winter I bought 7 jackets/coats. I live in Texas, really… I also bought 10 scarves and for the first time in my life I bought wool socks. I’m cold indoors in the summer and even colder in the winter.

I hear that! I used to be in summer clothes all year round. Now I get so cold that my husband gets concerned.

Isn’t it odd? I thought that would go away but it still hasn’t.

YES! I’ve written about this before. I am ALWAYS freezing now.

Good post, Lisa. I haven’t been there, but I can totally empathize with what you are saying. I guess nothing is ever perfect in this game of life. Just wait til you get old. I would be happy if my eyes could see the way they used too! Not to mention my hearing!

It’s funny Lisa because I barely recognize you in the first picture – it’s like you are hiding behind someone. You continue to be an inspiration to me! 😀

I barely recognize myself either. I see those old pictures and think, who is that?

It is really amazing to hear stories about the changes. I can really see the sacrifice you have to take just to make your body more healthy and fit. You deserve it, be proud to it.
