Man it sounds like you had such an awesome trip!! I have no vacation on the horizon currently and that is causing me the blues! I need to book something STAT!

It had been over a year and a half since I’d been on a “Real” vacation–like flying somewhere new. I’ve been on some nice weekend getaways in Oregon but there’s just something therapeutic about flying away to a new land.

If you can make it to Arizona, I recommend it. I enjoyed all the outdoor activities there!

oooh! i am traveling to Tucson next week to visit a friend. i have never been to arizona before and this has me looking forward to it even more! is that amazing looking pool open to the public? i’d love to squeeze in a swim while i’m there!

Steff you will love it! I don’t know where you live, but I’m sure the weather in Tucson is nicer. 🙂

Yep! That pool is the Oro Valley Municipal Pool (about a 30 min drive from downtown Tucson) and it was $3 for nonresidents. Totally cheap. There were other pools available in downtown Tucson. I think one was by the Zoo.

      Have a great time!

That just looks like the best vacation!

The blues are hard, but treat yourself to little things like scented candles, or some of your favorite tea. Things like that to adjust better.

I’ve been taking it pretty easy this week, not doing much, to ease back into the world….

Where in E.Wa did you go? (Native eastern washintonian here!)
Growing up in the desert it kills your skin-I have combination skin, and in the desert I’d have skin so try it was flaking off in spots and STILL have breakouts. Ick.
But I did love living somewhere with sunshine all the time…

Do you know where Blue Lake is? We would stay there. Also: Chelan, Ephrata, Coulie Dam. We’d go to the Dam and watch the 4th of July fireworks/laser show.

My dad is from Coulee-and my grandpa helped build the dam actually!

What a small world! My dad was born in Eastern Washington somewhere too.
