I think you guys will do great!

I’m a little confused about the weight equation for men. Chris is 5’11” so he should weigh 142? Or is that for an ultimate athlete cyclist body type?

30 grams of carbs is really low. Even Belly Fat Cure allows 120 per day, but think of what a luxury that may feel like after this week. Would be interesting to see what your regular baseline carb intake is. That’s my one disappointment in the WW tracker is that it doesn’t break down nutrients. It could if you entered each food individually since you enter the nutrients to figure out the points, but they haven’t broken out that functionality yet. Maybe I’ll try to do it for myself this week just to see.

    Enjoy the sunshine!

Michael is 5’11 too. I think those numbers are for professional cyclists. I think Lance is like 165 pounds? Contador is shorter than me and weighs 135 or something insane like that.

I do know my baseline for carbs and all that because My Fitness Pal calculates it for me. I’ll be posting the info probably tomorrow in comparison.

That calculation would put me at 124 pounds. Unless I sawed off a thigh, I don’t think I could even come close to that. My ideal would be 135. Don’t know if I will ever see that, though.

Good luck with this week. You know, something that can help you out if you start having trouble is to just remind yourself it is only for a week. That helps me if I am doing a challenge for myself.

When I do lower carb days, I try to hit around 100 gram. Of course I have trouble getting below that because I still consume dairy and fruit. I never subtract fiber. If I did it would be around 70 to 75 grams a day.

Really looking forward to seeing how the week goes!

And I don’t think I’d ever get to what they recommend my “cycling weight” be. Plus I’m not a professional cyclist who’s all muscle!

I am doing okay so far. Knowing it’s not forever and after 7 days I can decide to quit makes it easier.

I am SO intrigued to see the results from your experiment!!! Part of me wants to try something like this and the other part of me wants nothing to do with it πŸ˜› So Good luck and I can’t wait to read about this!

Keep checking back. I have NO idea if this will even work for me!

My little brother is now super excited that he has the ideal cyclist body (he’s almost dead on the weight for someone who is 6’2″). He’s the next Lance Armstrong!

      Way to go Brother! πŸ™‚

I love how “go in and get it done” he is about his physical progress. I bet he will do great! I also love that you know your body so well and are open to trying things out to see how it impacts you, but aren’t dead set on it because you’re happy where you are now too. Which you should be because you look great! But still worth trying out an eating style to see how it works for you too. πŸ™‚

Thanks Tina! It’s worth a try. 7 days won’t do much to derail me either way, so it will be interesting to see if my body responds to this diet at all.
