I’m super curious had bad water is for the bikes. At our PDX place, 2 are always left out in the rain and that just seems crazy (did we already discuss this?). Are there parts of the bike (like the chain) that would last longer if kept dry?

    Ah, blessed Mexican food.

I think rain is bad for bikes if they sit in the elements…like the chain and stuff.

      Mexican food fixes everything!

Ideally you would wipe your bike down after it gets wet.

There is regular maintenance that you can perform yourself on your chain to keep it in good shape. Clean/lube, etc.

I should have done that last night.

You are muuuuuuch braver than me! I get very jumpy in any kind of weather when I’m on my bike!

At least we didn’t have to worry about lightning!

See, when the forecast says 10% rain, they always leave off a 0. 😀

I will bike in the rain, but I don’t like it. I will bike in pretty cold weather, too. I can take to about 30 degrees, then it is a bit too cold. Wind is the one thing I really hate biking in – unless it is a tail wind!

Haha! I like that! Just add a zero. That’s so true for Oregon.

Stupid rain!!! You’re right, won’t melt in the rain, but it doesn’t mean you will enjoy it! I haven’t rode in the rain yet.. I’m sure my time will come!

If you ever visit Oregon you’ll be rained on… 🙂
