I don’t care for protein drinks other than what I make myself. They either are artificially sweetened – which is most of them, or they are super caloric like the one you got. I just make my own. I use 8 oz of almond milk, 1/4 cup of pumpkin, 30 grams of protein powder and cinnamon. I don’t sweeten mine at all, but that’s just me. That comes in at 170 calories and is good for me to split between pre and post workout. Then I come home and eat breakfast.

I think you would be interested in Rachel Cosgrove’s Female Body Breakthrough. I am so loving this program. The lifting routines are challenging – even for me (and I am in the first stage), plus they work the whole body without isolating too much.

I was just doing chocolate milk on my own and using that as a protein post-workout drink. Sometimes I’d add my own protein powder to it. The Svelte protein drink was the first one I’ve had in a long time that I actually enjoyed and liked the flavor of. Like you said they usually taste like artificial things or sweetners.

Thanks for the program recommendation. I will check that out.

I’ve never tried a protein drink – good to know about these!

I used to drink the Atkins shakes a lot because they tasted okay and were much lower in calories. But the Svelte product tasted so much better than that!
