I hate when logs promise a view point and it turns out to be nothing. We attempted the Misery Ridge trail at Smith Rock State Park last Saturday, but it was a little above my skill level. Those steep inclines kill my hip.

We’ve never hiked Smith Rock. Someday I’d like to!

How funny that Bella would sleep with her feet on the back of the seat rather than her back! It looks like she could roll off the seat if there were a sudden stop.

She rarely does that. I don’t know what she was doing! But it was just in the park and DQ. She curled up into a ball on the other side of the backseat for the rest of the drive home.

What a great hike, I enjoyed looking at the photo’s so much. That last pic of Bella is so good, that’s how a dog should feel after a good hike. I love that you take such good care of her and give her plenty of exercise.

It was a good hike. I enjoyed it and want to explore other parts of the park.
Bella LOVES hiking. She gets super excited and knows when we are going for hike based on the gear we start packing. LOL

I have had Potbelly in years. They don’t have the out here in NY, but we went there when we lived in IL. Better than subway for sure.

    Beautiful hike!

I figured it was a chain but wasn’t sure if it was national.

I would say a great day indeed! I have yet to take my daughters dogs to the trail near my house – because part of them allow horses too, and we have deer wandering the woods – not sure if that would freak them out or not!

    1. Lisa Eirene

Yeah she was freaked out by the horses but she did ok and is always on a leash, so that helps.
