I’m not currently training for anything. I just did my first 1/2 marathon in March and I’m just trying to keep up mileage. My next half is in August, the Chicago Rock n Roll Half which I’m running with team DetermiNation!

How fun! I loved Chicago. It looks like a cool city to run in.

Cute skirt! I could definitely use it when training for my upcoming half marathons. I am running the Thanksgiving Point Half Marathon in less than two weeks.

I would like to hear more about your swimming. You’ve said you’ve always been a natural swimmer, but when did that start? Did you swim in high school?

How cute! I am currently training for my 1st 5K and then starting a 10K plan. I hope to run an actual race this summer.

    1. Lisa Eirene

Good luck on your first 5k! That’s great!

I am training for the Missoula 1/2 Marathon. It will be my second time running it, the last being in 2009. I would look mighty cute crossing the finish line in that skirt!

Love the skirt! I haven’t planned my next event, but I just ran the Trolley Run in KC on Sunday (the largest timed 4-mile race in the country). I ran all four miles with no walking which is the furthest I have run.

I know I will do the Race for the Cure in August, but I want to do something before that. My goal is half marathon in late 2012 (I want to travel somewhere for it so I need to plan a vacation around that).

    1. Lisa Eirene

I LOVE the idea of planning a race around a vacation. Before I got injured my boyfriend and I were going to go to Vegas on vacation and so I could run that Half. Oh well, maybe next year!

I love all the healthy recipes so I would love to read more. I’ve tried several. Although I plan on trying the not so healthy mac and cheese one as well (I’m going to wait a month or so – I’m almost to my next weight loss goal).

    1. Lisa Eirene

Thanks! I love it when readers try recipes I’ve done too. It’s nice to hear feedback (and how to do the recipe better sometimes). The mac n’ cheese is a delight but it’s also so high in calories we try not to eat it as often.

I am on Day 1 of my weight loss regime. I was just told yesterday by my doctor to lose weight. I am looking for inspiration and found your website. Your situation reminds me of my own. I need a push in the right direction!

    1. Lisa Eirene

Joanne, thanks for reading. I hope you can find something useful on my site!

Hmmm, I’m somewhere between a medium and a large so I wonder if it would fit?

I’m currently training for the Rhody Run 12k that’s next month!

    1. Lisa Eirene

I bet it would. 12k! That’s nice. Before Hood to Coast the longest race I did was an 8k. I really liked that distance (but not the hills). 🙂

I am training for the Vancouver, USA Half Marathon in June! I also have 3 more halfs coming up as well as a FULL in October! Eek!

    1. Lisa Eirene

Which Full in October? That’s awesome!

      1. Nikki

The Portland Marathon!!! I’m already excited about it! :):)

I tweeted it! As far as what else to see on here, I would love to see more about the difference between your life “before” and “after”. I would also love to know about rewards you use. How do you stay motivated, and what goals and rewards do/did you use?
