Sunday was just another Sunday for me–but with Brunch! Woo hoo! I slept in a tiny bit and went swimming. I love holidays. That means the gym is a ghost town! I was so tired from Saturday’s busy busy day but I was really looking forward to swimming and stretching my muscles out. I was happy I woke up with NO soreness in my hamstrings. Sitting on a pillow while gardening was a smart idea.
It felt GREAT to be in the pool. Friday night when I swam it was frigid (apparently the pool had been drained earlier in the day) but Sunday it was as warm as I imagine Hawaii to be. It was such a good workout. The first half of my swim was intense, vigorous strokes. The middle part of my swim was low-key with easy (and slow) strokes like just kicking with the kickboard. The last part of my swim was intense again.
Time: 55 minutes
There were also cinnamon buns! I ate half of one and then ended up eating another half…not the best decision but I counted all the calories I ate. Our brunch/lunch ended up being the biggest meal of the day.
I also skipped the Mimosas. It sounded good but it also didn’t really appeal to me. I’d had two glasses of red wine Saturday night at the party and didn’t really feel like drinking Sunday. I skipped the liquid calories and stuck with water.
We spent the afternoon at his Mom’s house. It was a nice day with family and then Michael and I did some quick grocery shopping before heading home. It was nice that the grocery stores were empty too! I prepped some food for the week and then christened our new composter.
