I actually think I would like the mustard/maple combo, however my husband doesn’t like any sweet with meat – boo!

Hooray for good beer – drives me nuts that my husband will only drink Miller Lite.

The next time you make chicken tacos, make this recipe – it’s such a unique flavor for tacos!

    Happy Monday!

I gagged reading Miller Lite. 🙂 I’m a beer snob. Thanks for the link! I will check out your chicken tacos. Sounds delicious.

I don’t have any chicken wisdom at the moment but just wanted to share that I began lap swimming this morning at the rec center. Got myself in there at 6:30am so I could get it done before work. It felt good. I am hoping that I will be able to follow your path a bit and become more athletic while I am losing weight. Thanks for the inspiration!

Way to go! I’m glad you started swimming. I hope it’s something you grow to love!

Bob and I have just started watching Downton Abbey, and we are hooked! We’re only on the 4th episode though . . . so we’re newbies.

My world’s best chicken recipe is here: http://eatmovebalance.com/italian-stuffed-chicken-breasts/

But I have to say that last night I made a variation of that, and it may have trumped it! I’ll be posting it soon! 🙂

Thanks, I will check out your link for the chicken recipe.

Hurry up and see the rest of Downton Abbey! It gets so good! 🙂

Hi Lisa, Sorry you and Michael both had setbacks to your workouts. Hopefully your BOTH on the mend! I’m always on the hunt for a good chicken recipe too! Have a great Monday.

I hope we are on the mend as well.

I really like that chicken recipe. However, it is best with the thighs. I have done it with both the thighs and the breasts and the thighs are much better. Delicious! It’s the dark browning that happens with the thighs that doesn’t with the breasts that makes a difference.

    I love Downton Abbey.

My weekend was good except for my Broncos losing and sending stray Billy to his new home. 😀

    1. Lisa Eirene

I’m sorry you had to give up Billy but I’m really glad you found a forever home for him! Fostering is such a hard job. I’d end up keeping them all. 🙂

LOL I’m working my way through Grey’s Anatomy from the start right now. Just finished season two, which had me bawling about ten times. O.o Grrr! I hate being a girl sometimes!

I didn;t think of it when you asked the other day about chicken recipes, but we have one we really liked- its Southern Style Chicken & Greens from the 100 Best Chicken Recipes cookbook. I have it posted here- http://debslosingit.com/recipes/2012/05/01/southern-style-and-chicken-greens/

When I posted it I used chard for the greens, but later we found out spinach tastes much better instead!

I was late to GA too. I started watching half-way through season 1, got caught up and watched it religiously for years. Then I quit. I recently got caught up again on netflix.

We do something similar with chicken or pork chops when we have kale. It’s very tasty!

That beer looks so damn good to me right now. I’ve been on a next to no carb diet for just over a week. And even though I’ve already caved and binged, I still feel deprived of my precious beer.

I guess I’ll just have to suffer this wine instead.

    Cheers!

You poor thing! I’m sorry. 🙁 I definitely understand how you feel. It’s hard to give up.

I love your growler! I like making chicken marsala, that is probably my favorite way to have it. I haven’t started Downton season 3 yet, but I loved 1 and 2.

    1. Lisa Eirene

Thanks! It’s from a local restaurant/brewery here in Portland. It’s also insulated!

I’m a Downton fan but started watching it on Netflix (season 1) and missed season 2 so I have to wait for that to get on Netflix. In short, I’m always going to be a season behind 🙂

    1. Lisa Eirene

Don’t you hate that? I’m always behind on things!

  10. Jenn

How did you score the whole 3rd season??

My favorite chicken recipe is to put about 1 tbsp of reduced fat sour cream on a boneless skinless breast, and then sprinkle a combination of 1 tbsp of breadcrumbs and 1 tbsp of grated cheese on top. Bake at 350 until done, about 20 minutes. So good!

I don’t remember now. I think the BBC. It aired last year in England…or is it Canada? I can never remember where it’s from!

That sounds like a delicious chicken recipe. I never think about using breadcrumbs.
