Best of luck to you as you try to figure out what works for your body. I’m still in the weight loss mode so a size 8 sounds great to me but I can understand how disappointed you were were at clothes not fitting. You seem so active that I can only imagine how hard it must be to keep your calories so low. The only way I can eat around 1200 calories is to eat low carb-high fat (LCHF). I look forward to more diet posts as you tweak your eating.

Agree Andrea — when you are really active it’s so hard to reduce calories. I don’t want to go too low but I seemed to have found a sweet spot those first two weeks of trying this.

It sounds like you are making progress – good for you! I get sick of foods sometimes. I will go through periods where I eat the same thing every day and then all the sudden *boom* I don’t want it anymore 😀

I too eat the same thing every week day but it only bothers me when the scale stops moving down. I dislike counting calories so if I eat the same thing then I only have to count the calories once. Once the scale stalls I start tweaking, breakfast pastry becomes grapes, chips change to pretzels to strawberries, beer to non alcoholic beer, etc, etc.

Thanks for the comment David. I agree. It’s so much easier to count calories or keep track of points/food etc when your meals don’t change much. But it can get boring. Dang, now I want some breakfast pastries… 🙂

YES! I go through phases where I am obsessed with certain foods and eat them a lot, then I get sick of it all and need to change it up.

It sounds like you are taking all the right measures (LOL). Cutting calories is hard and requires consistency, but once you find what works for you, hopefully the weight loss will continue.

    Exercise, keep healthy

    The campaign to all exercise.

I agree with you on the wine Fri/Sat only rule I do that myself. In that way too it kind of feels like a treat. Weight loss is slow when you’ve lost so much already, you’re doing a great job!

It sure came off fast back in the beginning…

I’ve learned that what worked for me 2-3 years ago may not work now. It’s a constant quest for discovering what works for you at this point in your life right now. An ever evolving process.

For sure. What worked before did not work 6 months ago, hence the latest experiment. Time will tell…
