Doughnuts and chocolate cake are hard for me to give up. I have tried, and have gone several months without any, but then it seems when I add it back in to my diet, it becomes pretty hard to stay away from. I have a hard time resisting the temptation, especially when I’m stressed!

YES! When stress is involved, it’s really hard to resist those things.

I can’t imagine having candy where the printer is! That would be the absolute WORST if that’s the only place to print to. Congratulations on 3 days of restraint πŸ™‚ Ice cream is my weakness. I have limited myself to only buying the low calorie, reduced fat stuff to be able to still have my treats. I like certain brands and flavors of the healthier stuff, I just like Ben and Jerry’s full calorie more. Almond M&M’s are one thing I do not buy any more because I am not able to control my portion size. Sometimes a big bag is one serving, sometimes it’s 2 servings but just recently I was able to make it 3 servings which was a noticable accomplishment.

I bet Maya normally spends her week days running around in the house and you guys just aren’t there to see it! I’m sure the kitties are really enjoying the extra attention.

It is definitely difficult to resist when I walk into that room at least 15 times a day. I hate it!!

Ice cream is a weakness for me too, but if I don’t buy it–I’m ok. πŸ™‚

I think Maya and Fat Kitty do run around playing all day. I’ve caught Maya playing sometimes and it’s totally adorable.

OH Lisa, your kitties are so lovely!!!! AWWW. Our kitty Neva is going to have quite the adjustment with my husband finds his next job too. They add so much to a home, and Neva has been great company for my husband during these months of him being home. It’s been a win/win situation for sure. Have a great Thurs.

I think the kitties will be sad when Michael goes back to work too. When I leave in the mornings, the kitties are snuggling with Michael in bed! Lucky guy. πŸ™‚

And I agree, our kitties add so much to our lives!

Great job on the no candy! My problem foods are pizza, any kind of pie, and cookies. Christmas was a nightmare because everyone gave us homemade cookies and bf kept saying he was going to give them away but never did. Guess who ate 4 pounds worth of them over 2 weeks? Ugh.

Love the kitty pics. Glad they are enjoying Michael being home. I hope he finds something soon. It can be hard to stay busy at home when you’re used to being somewhere every day.

I”M SO WITH YOU! Pizza is hard for me (which is why I didn’t eat it for 2 years). Pies are hard to resist, too but I can usually skip the cake. Cookies only tempt me if they are homemade and really tasty. Sorry about eating 4 pounds. I’ve been there.

Oh wow, a candy room at work would be the bane of my existence as well!! I can’t imagine the torture! I’m awful about wanting to graze all the time and I love sweets. If my workplace did have such a thing, I think I would probably do better just never eating any at all than trying to eat some in moderation. I have given up sweets for as long as a month at a time, but it wasn’t a ton of fun.

    1. Lisa Eirene

Oh Laura, I have NO idea how I resist!!! Each day is a challenge. I’ve now made it FOUR DAYS without eating anything other than gum or pistachios from the candy room. πŸ™‚ I can’t believe you made it a WHOLE month!

I can relate! The candy stockpile is on the desk NEXT TO MINE at work. Everyday its a battle! Those stupid little 100 calorie sugar packs, granola and breakfast bars calling my name! If I make it through the day without eating any I’m so proud. Maybe I will follow your trend and ban it from my diet altogether. The hardest foods for me to resist are the ones tempting me at arms reach, I could mindlessly snack on them all day.

    1. Lisa Eirene

Hey Heidi, thanks for commenting. People think I’m crazy and that it’s ridiculous I can’t resist candy at work but they have NO idea. The amount of it, the location of it, it’s always there tempting me. It’s really hard. It sounds like you experience the same thing. I, too, am SO proud if I make it through one day and resist. You can do it too! Let’s try hard.

Great job on the candy! Not easy- especially when it is right in front of you!!!
I have a hard time with peanut butter. MMMmmMMMM!

    1. Lisa Eirene

That sounds like Michael! He can’t resist peanut butter.

Choc Chips!!! a bag in the freezer…a handful….a handful…a few more…oh dear…the damn things are hard for me to resist.

BUT…my new treat! a healthier version and only one small handful of choc chips and the dessert is so satisfying I stay away from the bag the rest of the night πŸ™‚

I take 1/2 cup greek yogurt (protein) and 1 TBSP of Natural PB, mix and mix till smooth and creamy…then top with a heaping TBSP of Choc chips…OH MY GOODNESS!

    1. Lisa Eirene

OOOOOOOHHH!!!! That dessert sounds delicious! I am totally going to try that soon!
