Thanks for sharing! What is Dave’s Killer Bread and what is avocado spread??
I like that you eat balanced and don’t have any enormous meals, just moderate sized meals and healthy snacks.

Dave’s Killer bread is amazing! It’s a local Portland business and doesn’t have chemicals and additives in it. It’s delicious. Check it out: http://www.daveskillerbread.com/

As for the avocado spread, I just spread some avocado on the bread. 🙂

I don’t eat huge meals. But I do eat often. It works better for me to have frequent snacks.

I’ve had NO candy this whole year from the jar on my desk!!!! I know that’s only 15 days but WHOOP! I have been starting out every morning with a chocolate-pumpkin muffin with a tiny bit of almond butter. Delicious and filling, and I get to feel like I’m starting the day with a treat. The scale is looking good. 🙂

15 days is nothing to dismiss! That’s awesome! I wish I had your strength!

Your day is pretty similar to mine. 😉 Oh how I love that Chicken Tikka Masala from Trader Joe’s! I generally don’t eat frozen meals either. My lunch go-tos are salads or leftovers. However, I do keep a couple of frozen meals on hand just in case I need to run out of the door and don’t have anything prepared. Then I don’t have an excuse to go out and get something. 😉

Agreed! I have about 4 frozen lunches in the work freezer for emergencies but usually I don’t eat them.

I love avocado and spread it on everything!!

I put avocado on everything too!

The salmon and gnocchi look delicious! Cool little insight into a day in your life.

But come on . . . 30 degrees and you had to head inside? It was 30 degrees here in Vermont today and I felt like I should be wearing shorts! It’s not winter if it doesn’t hit negative double digits.

    Cheers!

Have you ever been to Oregon? 🙂 It’s always cold here. Even in the summer! My brother comes to visit from Philly and wears big sweatshirts and jeans in August. 🙂

I’ve been working harder at cutting out processed foods as well, and I can say aside from the packaged rice or pasta mix side dishes, we’ve almost gotten rid of the processed stuff completely. We went from having Helper meals for dinner 3 times a week or more, to having them maybe 2 times a month. I haven’t bought bread in almost a year, and while I’m suddenly missing it, it seems more appealing to bake a loaf rather than buy it now. I’m also working on a goal this year to eat 2 servings fruits/veggies minimum each day.

I love reading your posts about what you guys had for dinner- your meals always look so appealing, especially the salmon nights!

That’s excellent! I used to eat TONS of that stuff–especially when I was living alone. It was easy and I didn’t really cook. But honestly, this one particular day is out of the norm in terms of processed foods. We usually don’t eat very much of it beyond condiments and stuff like that.

I love salmon nights too! I NEVER feel guilty about what I eat on a salmon night. it’s so healthy!
