My cats are 8 mths apart, and I was fortunate that it only took them 2-3 wks for them to get comfortable with each other. They are now about 5 yrs old and are inseparable, but they still have their moments where they “play fight!”

That’s good that they finally got along. I had Fat Kitty for 9 months before I got Maya (she was 7 weeks old) and they did NOT get along at first. Fat Kitty was really angry that I brought a new creature into the house. But 2 weeks of fighting and they loved each other. And they love each other now. They play fight once in awhile too. 🙂

Sausage and polenta is perfect cold weather food! We have snow coming in tonight. Ick.

My old cat, Chloe, did not like kids at all. She ran and hid and never got used to them. She also hated all other cats and hated Pixie, which is why Pixie lived in the shop on the back of our house for a year. Chloe was very old (18) an I didn’t want to stress her out. When she died, Pixie then moved into the house.

Pixie is quite tolerant of my nieces and hangs around them and lets them pet her. It really depends on the cat’s temperment.

I loved the sausage and polenta. It was delicious.

Poor Pixie! That’s too bad that Chloe was so grumpy about it. But I guess when you get to be 18 years old, you can be grumpy. 🙂

Our two cats HATE kids and will disappear without a trace if anyone under 10 comes near our place.

so, let’s just say I am a little curious to see how they react when we bring a baby home from the hospital in 7 weeks!

I am VERY curious how your kitties survive the new addition!! My kitties do not like kids at all. One is scared to death, the other is grumpy about it. LOL
