Way to put in the work to go find your protein!

I was *that* girl yesterday when I was having dinner out by myself and stopped the bread/olive oil guy dead in his tracks by saying “Oh, I won’t need that.” I tried to sound smiley and not panickey (like “PLEASE don’t leave that here, bad things might happen!”), but he still had to take a moment to recover. You’d think they’d be used to it by now.

Your week is looking awesome! I’ve never seen those refried beans but they sound delicious. Way to Cinco de Mayo!

The guy at Stanford’s Wednesday was very accommodating to our diet! He happily substituted the mashed potatoes with extra asparagus. But it was so hard to say no to the bread basket! So hard.

Good for you not giving in to the olive oil/bread basket. That’s the best combo and I don’t know that I’d be that strong.

We didn’t really celebrate Cinco de Mayo per se, but I think we were just burned out on black beans. hehehe

I don’t know how many grams of protein I eat a day, but I do know I eat a lot. I always make sure to have a good amount of protein in every meal and snack. For breakfast, it’s usually eggs, greek yogurt, or peanut flour turned into peanut butter. Snacks its usually cottage cheese, peanut butter, string cheese, or almonds (with fruit). Lunch and dinner is usually beans, cheese or some type of leftover fish or shrimp, but I always make sure to make a conscious effort to include it so I don’t get hungry right after eating!

It sounds like you get a lot! That’s great. I like the food you eat. It’s pretty similar to what we were eating before. I don’t think our diet pre-experiment really lacked protein honestly.

I honestly have no clue how much protein I get in my diet anymore. Probably right around 80-100 grams now. I’m glad you found a place to sell you just the chicken. It’s crazy how weird people can be about that.
