Hi Lisa, I LOVE your ride photos. Makes me feel like I’m riding right there beside you!!! Thanks for sharing the lovely scenery. Have a great day.

I’m so glad you like the biking photos! When I’m on the bike I’m always looking around for cool things to take photos of.

CONGRATS on tackling that hill! I know how good you must have felt about yourself when it was not as hard as in the past!!! Awesome! In the past I would not give myself a day off. Now that I have had to deal with an injury I really try and listen to my body. I think if I can hear what it is saying the least I can do is listen!! 🙂

I was on the fence about whether or not to ride. I wasn’t in pain walking around the house but with knee issues–who knows? 10 miles in I could have been in trouble. I was happy that wasn’t the case.

It felt GREAT to make it up that hill with no issues! And it was at the end of the 38 miles.

I live in Nopo and love riding around here! Last week I had an apt that caused me to have to ride on MLK for a bit… not fun! I treat it like I am another car when on a road w/ no bike lanes. It’s way to dangerous to try and stay to the side. Cars will pass you when they can.

We’ve only ridden on MLK once and it was ABSOLUTELY TERRIFYING. We biked as fast as we could to get off the street. It was when we were fairly new to biking in the city (non trails) and we didn’t know there were nice bike lanes just a few blocks away from MLK.

Yep.. I always try and stick to the neighborhood streets when possible.

Do you live in North Portland? Do you have recommendations on good streets with bike lanes? I know Vancouver has some and I think Fremont…
