I had actually stopped canning because of the time it took for my giant pot to boil – it was literally a whole day process until I got a Ball Canning Machine – it only takes like 4 inches of water in the bottom of the machine, you put your clean jars in and do a cycle for 11 minutes to sterilize them, fill them up and then hit “salsa” or whatever you are canning and walk away – it takes 40 minutes to process, and when that batch comes out, you can start the jar sterilization process right away – I’ve had it over a year and the initial cost was $299, but I am sure it’s cheaper by now.

What a lovely weekend you had and all the food looks so yummie! Watermelon and feta cheese in a salad is a win win, love it too.

You sure got a lot of tomatoes from your garden, they look very tasty.

I’ve been enjoying your blog for quite some time now. I do have to ask because it looks so yummy……….what is your recipe for the chicken? I am getting tired of just plain ‘ole barbecue sauce!

    1. Lisa Eirene

I’m not sure! My friend made the chicken. It was some kind of dry rub, though.
