he is a fantastic writer – and is very entertaining in person (I have been to a few of his readings years ago, and used to chat with him and his partner (and cute pups!) in an office they had in NW –

I loved Invisible Monsters too – I love all of his books, and Fight Club is a GREAT movie but the book is even better! 😀

I love his in your face writing style. It’s always bizarre and shocking and I love that stuff! Invisible Monsters is my favorite–all time. Survivor was super freaky–especially rereading it after 9/11. Choke was great. I am reluctant to read Fight Club because I loved the movie so much and have heard the book is difficult to read (the style). Someday.

Do you know if he still lives in Portland?

I have a friend who SWEARS by acupuncture to make her more balanced! I have never had it done but might have to try it sometime 🙂

I also have a friend with chronic back issues who SWEARS by acupuncture. She does it about once a month and says it works.

Okay, I will crawl out from under my rock and say I have never heard of him, but then I am reading so much nonfiction the last few years that I am way behind. I will put him in my library ‘to-do’ list.

He’s the author of Fight Club (Brad Pitt movie). I suggest Invisible Monsters, Survivor, Choke and Lullaby first.

  6. Diane Fit to the Finish

I’m embarrassed to say that I have never heard of him! I will check it out.
